What is a Photovoltaic Generation system / solar energy?

Solar panels (also called photovoltaic or PV panels) turn sunlight into DC electricity. An inverter then converts it into the same 230-volt AC power your home or business already uses. Your property uses the solar power first, and any extra is sent to the grid. A battery lets you store that extra power and use it in the evening instead.

Velocity Solar installed a 13.2kW solar array and 32kW of Sigenergy batteries for us in April. They delivered a quality outcome through a high standard of workmanship. All staff throughout the process were friendly and totally professional. Luke was very thorough during the initial consultation and quotation process. He provided several options for system sizes and configurations to meet our objectives and budget, and gave us confidence in the system we ultimately decided to proceed with. The owner also visited our house well before the installation was booked in, to confirm any complexities with the install (due to the pitch of the roof) could be considered well in advance.
