What is 192.168.250.181?

192.168.250.181 is a local (private) network address used to connect directly to a SigEnergy SigenStor device during setup and configuration. When your installer or your phone joins the device’s own built-in WiFi hotspot, you reach its local settings page by typing that IP address (or a similar one in the 192.168.250.x range) into a web browser. It is not a public website — it only works when you are connected to the inverter/battery’s own network, on site, next to the unit.

In plain language: it’s the little “back door” address that lets an installer talk straight to the SigenStor hardware to commission it, connect it to your home WiFi, set up battery charge/discharge settings and check that everything is talking to the SigEnergy app before the system goes live.

How to reach 192.168.250.181 on a SigenStor

  • Make sure you are standing near the SigenStor unit.
  • On your phone or laptop, join the device’s own WiFi hotspot (the SigEnergy commissioning network).
  • Open a browser and type the IP address (e.g. 192.168.250.181) into the address bar.
  • Log in with the credentials provided during commissioning to view or adjust settings.

Can’t connect? A few things to check

  • You must be connected to the device’s local network — a normal home WiFi or mobile data connection will not reach this address.
  • The exact address can vary slightly between units and firmware versions, so if 192.168.250.181 doesn’t respond, your installer can confirm the correct one for your system.
  • Everyday monitoring — how much your battery is charging, discharging and how much solar you’re generating — is done through the SigEnergy app on your phone, not this local page. The local IP is mainly for setup and troubleshooting.
