What is 192.168.250.181?
192.168.250.181 is the local IP address used to reach the on-device configuration and commissioning interface of a SigEnergy / SigenStor system. When your inverter or battery creates its own built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, you connect your phone or laptop to that hotspot and type 192.168.250.181 (or http://192.168.250.181) into your browser to open the local set-up page. It is a private, local-network address, so it only works while you are connected directly to the device’s own Wi-Fi — it is not a page on the public internet.
How to open the 192.168.250.181 page
- Make sure the system is powered on and broadcasting its local Wi-Fi hotspot.
- On your phone or laptop, open Wi-Fi settings and connect to the device’s network (this is usually named after the unit or its serial number).
- Open a web browser and type 192.168.250.181 in the address bar, then press enter.
- The local interface should load, where the installer can commission, check status or update settings.
Page won’t load? A few quick checks
- Confirm you are actually connected to the device’s own hotspot — not your home Wi-Fi or mobile data.
- Turn off mobile data so the browser doesn’t try to use the internet instead of the local network.
- Try http://192.168.250.181 with the http:// in front, and refresh once.
- Move closer to the unit so the hotspot signal is strong.
- If it still won’t open, the address or hotspot name can vary by model and firmware — check the label on your unit or the SigEnergy quick-start guide.
