Fronius Reserva Battery in Geelong
A modular home battery from 6.3 kWh to 15.8 kWh, supplied and installed by your local Geelong team
What Is the Fronius Reserva?
The Fronius Reserva is a high-voltage lithium iron phosphate (LFP) home battery that connects directly to your solar system through a compatible Fronius hybrid inverter, such as the GEN24 Plus. Because it is DC-coupled, your solar energy goes into the battery without an extra conversion step, which is why it can reach around 95% battery efficiency.
It is modular. You start with two modules (6.3 kWh) and the tower grows up to five modules (15.8 kWh) as your needs change. Paired with the Fronius Backup Controller, it can also keep your home running during a blackout.
If you already have, or plan to install, a Fronius inverter, the Reserva is the battery designed to go with it.

Fronius Reserva Sizes: Tap One to Compare
Each Reserva is the same battery with a different number of modules. More modules means more stored energy, a taller tower and more weight on the wall or floor. Pick a size to see the details.
Need more than 15.8 kWh? Fronius also makes the larger Reserva Pro range. Ask us whether it suits your home. We confirm the final price in your written quote after a free site visit.
How Long Will a Fronius Reserva Run My Home?
The honest answer depends on what you’re running. Pick your average household load to see roughly how many hours each size lasts, whether that’s an evening off the grid or a blackout.

A Day With a Fronius Reserva
A battery changes when you use your solar, not how much your panels produce. On a typical day the Reserva works like this:
- Morning: solar powers the house as the sun comes up, so you draw little or nothing from the grid.
- Midday: spare solar fills the battery instead of being exported for a small feed-in credit.
- Evening: your home runs on the energy stored earlier, instead of paying peak rates.
- Blackout: with the Fronius Backup Controller fitted, the battery keeps your home running.
Is the Fronius Reserva Right for You?
It’s a great fit if you
- Already have a Fronius GEN24 Plus inverter, or are installing a new solar system
- Want a battery you can grow from 6.3 kWh to 15.8 kWh later
- Want blackout backup through the Fronius Backup Controller
- Prefer one brand, one app (Fronius Solar.web) and one warranty chain
Check with us first if you
- Have a non-Fronius inverter. The Reserva is designed for Fronius hybrid inverters, so you may need an inverter change
- Have a small wall space. A 15.8 kWh tower is 1.64 m tall and 187 kg
- Only want a very low upfront cost. A smaller battery may suit your budget better
- Need more than 15.8 kWh. We can talk you through the Reserva Pro range

Reserva or Reserva Pro?
Most Geelong homes are well served by the standard Reserva. The Pro range is for bigger energy needs.
- Choose the Reserva if you want a compact tower that you can grow from 6.3 to 15.8 kWh, for a typical family home.
- Ask about the Reserva Pro if you have a large home, run a lot of power in the evening, or want a small business backed up.

Fronius Reserva FAQs
How much does a Fronius Reserva cost in Geelong?
The price depends on the battery size, your inverter, your switchboard and where the battery is mounted. We give you a fixed written quote after a free site visit, with any rebates you’re eligible for already applied.
What sizes does the Fronius Reserva come in?
The Reserva comes in four sizes: 6.3 kWh (2 modules), 9.5 kWh (3 modules), 12.6 kWh (4 modules) and 15.8 kWh (5 modules). It is modular, so you can add modules later if your needs grow.
Does the Fronius Reserva work in a blackout?
Yes, when it’s installed with the Fronius Backup Controller and a compatible Fronius hybrid inverter. How long it lasts depends on the battery size and what you’re running. A 12.6 kWh Reserva running about 1 kW of load lasts roughly 12 hours, before solar is counted.
Which inverters work with the Fronius Reserva?
The Reserva is a DC-coupled battery designed for Fronius hybrid inverters, such as the GEN24 Plus. If you have a different brand of inverter, we’ll check whether you need an inverter change or a different battery.
How long is the Fronius Reserva warranty?
The Reserva carries a standard 10-year warranty in Australia. Terms and conditions apply, so ask us for the current warranty document.
Can I get a rebate on a Fronius Reserva?
You may be eligible for the federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program discount, which is applied to the price at installation. The amount changes over time, so we confirm the current figure and your eligibility in your written quote.
Can I add more modules to my Reserva later?
Yes. The tower can grow from two modules up to five, which is 6.3 kWh to 15.8 kWh. Tell us at the site visit if you plan to expand so we leave enough space and set up the electrical side correctly.
