What is the weight and dimensions of a standard solar panel?
Most home solar panels today measure roughly 1.7 to 1.8 metres long by about 1.1 metres wide and weigh around 20 to 25 kg (as of October 2026). Panels have grown as their wattage has increased, so older 250-watt panels were noticeably smaller, at about 1.65 by 1 metre. Exact sizes vary by brand and model, so we check your roof layout, structure and the panel’s specification sheet when designing your system.
