Ocean Grove: 9.5 kW solar + SigenStor 40.3 kWh battery (December 2025)
A 9.5 kW shed-mounted solar system and a 40.3 kWh Sigenergy SigenStor battery for a home in Ocean Grove, with nine months of measured results.
Location: Ocean Grove, Bellarine Peninsula
Switched on: December 2025
System: 9.5 kW solar with a 40.3 kWh Sigenergy SigenStor battery
A local homeowner in Ocean Grove had our team install a 9.5 kW solar system with a 40.3 kWh Sigenergy SigenStor battery. The panels sit on a shed roof, the inverter and battery are inside the shed, and the power is cabled underground to the house.
The system was switched on in December 2025. The results below come from its own monitoring data.

9.5 kW
of AIKO solar panels on the shed
40.3 kWh
Sigenergy SigenStor battery
6,440 kWh
generated in nine months
94%
of the home’s power from its own solar and battery

What the homeowner wanted
A solar and battery system that runs the house on its own energy for as much of the day and night as possible, using the shed roof for the panels.
What we installed
- 20 x AIKO 475 W black-frame solar panels (9.5 kW), mounted on the shed
- Sigenergy SigenStor EC 10.0 SP 10 kW single-phase hybrid inverter, installed in the shed
- SigenStor battery: 5 x 8.06 kWh modules, 40.3 kWh in total, installed in the shed
- Sigenergy energy meter at the switchboard
- Installed by our team: designed and installed by our installation team.
A trench was dug between the house and the shed before installation day so the cabling could run underground.

Results so far
From 1 January to 30 September 2026 the system generated 6,440 kWh of solar energy, and the battery discharged 2,733 kWh into the home.
Over the same nine months the home used 4,443 kWh and drew only 258 kWh from the grid. That means about 94% of the home’s electricity came from its own solar and battery, winter included.
