Werribee: 4.23 kW solar + SigenStor 16.1 kWh battery added to existing solar (September 2025)

 In Case Studies

A 4.23 kW solar extension and a 16.1 kWh Sigenergy SigenStor battery for a home in Werribee that already had solar, with a full 12 months of measured results.

Location: Werribee, Wyndham
Switched on: September 2025
System: 4.23 kW of new solar panels with a 16.1 kWh Sigenergy SigenStor battery, added to the home’s existing solar

Based in Geelong, we also install in Werribee when the work comes up. This homeowner already had solar panels and asked our team to add more solar and a Sigenergy SigenStor battery.

The system was switched on in September 2025, so it now has a full 12 months of measured results.

What the homeowner wanted

More solar alongside the panels already on the roof, and a battery to store it.

“A great company for providing the install of our battery and additional solar panels. Huge thank you to Luke, Brad, Elly and team for the support through out the process. Couldn’t recommend the team more highly!”

What we installed

The SigenStor has a solar inverter built in, so the new panels connect straight to it. The home’s existing solar keeps its own inverter, and the Sigenergy system measures it too, so all of the home’s solar shows in one place.

  • 4.23 kW of new solar panels added alongside the existing panels
  • Sigenergy SigenStor: two battery modules (16.1 kWh) with a built-in 6 kW inverter, installed outside on a paved base
  • Existing solar connected to the monitoring: its output is recorded by the Sigenergy system with the new panels
  • Installed by our team: designed and installed by our installation team.

Results so far

In the 12 months from 1 October 2025 to 30 September 2026, the new 4.23 kW of panels generated 5,064 kWh and the home’s existing solar added 3,658 kWh: 8,721 kWh of solar in total. The battery discharged 1,918 kWh over the year.

Over the same year the home used 2,562 kWh and drew only 94 kWh from the grid, so about 96% of the home’s electricity came from its own solar and battery (1 − 94 ÷ 2,562 = 96%). Even in winter (June to August 2026) the grid supplied just 61 kWh of the 612 kWh the home used. A further 5,912 kWh was exported to the grid.
