Anglesea: 6.6 kW solar + Tesla Powerwall 3 on a new build (February 2026)
A 6.6 kW solar system and a Tesla Powerwall 3 built into a new home in Anglesea, with Tesla monitoring results from July to October 2026.
Location: Anglesea, Surf Coast
Switched on: February 2026
System: 6.6 kW solar with a 13.5 kWh Tesla Powerwall 3
Our team installed this system in a new home in Anglesea, working alongside the builder while the house was going up. The panels went on during construction and the Powerwall 3 and Backup Gateway were fitted in the garage before handover, so the home was ready for solar and battery power from day one.
The Powerwall was switched on in February 2026, while the house was still being finished.

What the build needed
A new home that was solar and battery ready at handover: panels on the roof, a battery in the garage and backup power if the grid goes down, all done as part of the build rather than added later.
What we installed
We fitted the panels while the house was under construction, then installed the battery and gateway once the garage was built.
- 15 x Trina 440 W solar panels (6.6 kW)
- Tesla Powerwall 3: 13.5 kWh battery with a built-in 5 kW solar inverter
- Tesla Backup Gateway 2, which switches the home to battery power during a blackout
- Installed by our team: designed and installed by our installation team.
Results so far
Results for 6 July to 19 October 2026. The system made 2,106 kWh of solar energy: about 20 kWh a day through winter and early spring, rising to an average of 27 kWh a day in October. Over the same period the house used 970 kWh and took 211 kWh of that from the grid, so about 78% of its power came from its own solar and battery. The other 1,404 kWh of surplus solar went to the grid.
The house has been lightly used so far, so its power use is lower than a typical family home.
