What are the benefits of solar power?

Solar lowers your power bills, because the electricity your panels make is used in your home instead of bought from the grid, and any extra earns a feed-in credit. It also cuts your reliance on coal and gas power, which reduces carbon emissions. Payback is subject to many factors, but solar on its own typically pays for itself in about 5 to 7 years. Adding a battery lets you use more of your own solar at night and can keep the power on in a blackout.

Velocity Solar installed a 13.2kW solar array and 32kW of Sigenergy batteries for us in April. They delivered a quality outcome through a high standard of workmanship. All staff throughout the process were friendly and totally professional. The owner also visited our house well before the installation was booked in, to confirm any complexities with the install (due to the pitch of the roof) could be considered well in advance.
