Does my switchboard need upgrading to install solar power?

Often not. Solar usually needs only one or two spaces in your switchboard for a new circuit breaker. Older switchboards with ceramic fuses, no safety switches or no spare room may need upgrading to meet current rules, and adding a battery can need extra space too. We check your switchboard at the site inspection and tell you before you go ahead if an upgrade is needed.

Velocity Solar installed a 13.2kW solar array and 32kW of Sigenergy batteries for us in April. They delivered a quality outcome through a high standard of workmanship.
