Is my system covered from hailstones and ball smashing the panels?

Solar panels are built to handle hail. Panels are tested to withstand 25 mm hailstones at about 80 km/h, and their tempered glass is very strong. Very large hail or a direct hit from a cricket ball can still break a panel, and storm damage is usually a home insurance matter, so check your policy covers your solar. If a panel is cracked, don’t touch it or hose it, as it can still carry live power; have an electrician check it.
